Caroline Bowditch – Snigel the Snail and Co-Creator
Caroline Bowditch describes herself as a performer, maker, teacher, speaker and mosquito buzzing in the ears of the arts industry. She has choreographed/performed work including Proband (2007) Leaving Limbo Landing (2014) and Falling in Love with Frida (2014) and collaborated on NQR and the Long and the Short of it as Scottish Dance Theatre’s Dance Agent for Change (2008-2012). In 2017, Caroline will be Associate Artist with Dance 4, Paragon Ensemble, Imaginate and Tramway. Favourite insect: Ladybirds |
Laura Hook – Laz the Woodlouse, Co-creator and Designer
Laura has worked in the industry for over 10 years. From working as a casual technician in various places around the country to being Senior Technician at Sadler’s Wells in London. She has enjoyed working in creative roles in all elements of production with small companies, large companies and everyone in between. Favourite insect: Bumble bees |

Zac Scott – Cecil the cicada, Sound Designer and Musician
Zac Scott is a songwriter, music teaching artist and performance maker. He recently trained at Lincoln Center Education, New York City and graduated from BA (Hons) Contemporary Performance Practice at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. In November 2016, Zac independently released his first EP "Strategy" which he has promoted throughout Scotland. Zac regularly works as a teaching artist, leading music, songwriting and performance workshops in different contexts. These include: Working with incarcerated youth at Crossroads Juvenile Detention Center in partnership with the Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall New York; Paragon Music across their creative inclusive music and dance programmes; Starcatchers leading Expecting Something sessions; Impact Arts leading workshops with young men at HMYOI Polmont and with 21CC as a creative associate across their performance projects. He has designed sound for 21CC’s Ballad of The Apathetic Boy and his Narcissistic Mother which premiered as part of the Take Me Somewhere festival.

Welly O’Brien – Flutter the butterfly
Alongside being a mum to two rapidly approaching teenagers, Welly O' Brien has worked both as a full time dancer and freelance artist for 20 years working both Nationally and Internationally.
The majority of her work teaching and performing with Candoco Dance Company, but in recent years freelancing as a dancer with Caroline Bowditch, Frontline Dance, Graeae, Wired Aerial, Kate Marsh and Scarebeus. She is very much enjoying working with Caroline and the team on 'Snigel and Friends’.
Favourite insect: Dragonfly

Alex McCabe – Hachi the freelance bee
Alex is a maker, performer and educator in dance and music. With this dual specialisation he works extensively and internationally in choreography for opera (eg. Wexford Festival Opera; Teatro Reggio; Scottish Opera) and experimental interdisciplinary projects (Marc Brew; Fattoria Vittadini). Alex collaborates with various Scottish organisations towards broadening access to experiences and careers in dance and music. Trained through Dance Base Edinburgh’s DEBS, Alex also holds an MA, PhD and Teaching Excellence Award from the University of Glasgow. He is fluent in five languages and also collaborates as an interpreter/organiser with performing arts festivals (Festival Mirabilia, Edinburgh International Festival)

Jennie Lööf
Swedish born Jennie Lööf is a Glasgow based costume maker/designer and sewing teacher. Jennie began sewing at the age of 7, a skill that has been passed down through the Lööf family for generations.
Since arriving in Glasgow in 2004 she has worked as a wardrobe supervisor and designer in Scottish professional theatre making costumes for countless shows. Jennie also runs her own fashion label 'Jennie Lööf Clothes' and is one of the founding members of Shawlands 'Glad Rags' Thrift Shop. www.jennieloof.com for more info
